Hard work
Daja and her siblings walk about 20 miles every day to get water and other necessary supplies. I caught them around the end of the day, before they return home. I was astonished by their mood. They were still able to smile, even at times hiding their tiredness.

Lake Victoria gold mining
In the small village of Lac Victoria Waguzu, many women have no choice but to search for gold in order to provide for their families. The mercury levels in the water have become increasingly high, making it difficult – and often times dangerous – to access.
No tangible solution has yet been leveraged to help out this community. We see Nada working 12 hours a day trying to find a way to feed her family.
