Haneen Project

Art therapy project created by Syrian kids and curated by Chadi Aoun. Creative work by: Sulaiman Nouri Ali, Ali Harba, Waad Al-Zouhouri, Fatima Al-Tamer.
Syrians kids were joined by some other Lebanese artists. We loved the work of the syrian kids and hence how we came about to make this story.

We met Chadi Aounin 2015 via a great friend that started another wonderful initiative called Retrieving Beirut. Chadi was working on Haneen, and we decided to created a small story to showcase the concept. Art therapy has been getting awesome grounds in last decade. UN with the help of many NGOs have been implementing these projects.

Chadi Aoun Project Manager, Artistic Director, and CuratorAnimation director and storyteller at heart, Chadi Aoun wears many creative hats. Born in Beirut in 1983, he studied Fine Arts in Paris before graduating with a Masters in animation from the Lebanese Academy of Fine Arts (ALBA). After that, he founded YeloStudio, an animation and design studio collaborative. He swirls and twirls between various creative projects and stage performances to quench his insatiable passion for dance and movement. Chadi’s latest animated film, Samt (Silence), tackling the theme of dance and freedom, was awarded Best fiction in the 2016 Lebanese Film Festival, and has been touring international film festivals since, winning several awards.

Soha Bsat Boustani Project initiator and Consultant. A Lebanese and French national, Soha is an independent Communication Consultant. For more than 35 years, she held a number of senior positions with UNICEF in Lebanon and Jordan serving communication and media needs of the country offices in the MENA region. She also spent 10 years in France as the Chief of Media at the French UNICEF National Committee in France. Soha has developed through all the years a thorough understanding of international organization and development related programmes and undertook extensive travel assignments in Africa, Asia, Europe the Middle East and the USA which gave her a wide filed exposure to different approaches and techniques in the industrialized and developing country contexts and environments. Venture, she accomplished with passion and humanity.

Tanya Chapuisat UNICEF Representative in LebanonTanya Chapuisat began her mission in Beirut as Representative for the UNICEF Lebanon Country office in July 2015. Before Lebanon, Ms. Chapuisat served as a Representative in UNICEF Costa Rica and the Central African Republic (CAR). She also worked in Senegal as Regional Emergency Advisor for all UNICEF offices in West and Central Africa and in East and Southern Africa In Kenya. Before UNICEF, Ms. Chapuisat was Assistant Resident Representative in UNDP in Kenya for one year and worked as a Non-profit Practice Manager at Mckinsey & Company.From 1993 to 1998, she held many positions at the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC). She served in Rwanda, Peru, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Guinea-Bissau. Ms. Chapuisat is a dual citizen of Britain and Switzerland. She holds a university degree in Political Science from the University of Michigan and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Columbia Business School.
